Mary P. Cadogan DrPH, RN, GNP-BC, FAAN

Mary P. Cadogan DrPH, RN, GNP-BC, president -elect of SCC-GAPNA, was recognized during SCC-GAPNA's first dinner meeting on February 20, 2014 for her recent induction as a fellow into the American Academy of Nursing.  Mary has taught for the past 20 years at UCLA School of Nursing where she is the lead faculty member for the Adult/Gerontology Primary Care NP program and core faculty member of the Center for the Advancement of Gerontological Nursing Science.

Dr Cadogan's program of research has focused on improving quality of care for older adults in nursing homes, including care at the end of life.  Through publications, leadership, and policy, she has made significant contributions to improving care towards the end of life for older adults.  Recently, her research has expanded to study transitional care experiences of older adults in the emergency department.
